PSU 2010 FAQ: Frequently Asked Questions

Registration

When can I register for PowerSchool University?
Registration for PSU is now open and will close when all seats have been filled.
My district/school has PSU seats as part of the subscription model. How do I register?
Select 'Register Now' from the top of the page and complete all of the requested information. When you get to the payment section, select the 'Please apply my Product Education Subscription Seat' option and continue on with the registration process as you normally would.
Tuition and Payment

What is the cost of tuition and what does it include?
Tuition is $2000 a person and includes: 4 days/24 hours of training; opportunities to get one-on-one assistance with specific questions; breakfast, breaks and lunch on instructional days (Monday - Thursday, not check-in day); the special event on Tuesday evening; course materials and a laptop loan if needed.
What methods of payment do you accept and how do I make my payment?
Payment can be made by purchase order or credit card and is due by 5:00pm Pacific Daylight Time four weeks prior to the event. If we do not receive your purchase order or method of payment information by the deadline, we may release your PSU seat request. Your Purchase Order should be made out to: Pearson, Inc., 10911 White Rock Road, Suite 200, Rancho Cordova, CA 95670. Please ensure that your PO includes an approval signature and fax it to the PowerSchool Product Education Department at 916.288.1591. To pay with a credit card, click here to download the Credit Card Payment Form, fill it out and fax it back to our corporate credit card processing team at 413.638.7149. To keep your information secure please do not email credit card information.
I need a copy of my invoice now. Where can I get one?
An invoice for your registration will be provided once we have received and processed your purchase order or form of payment. If you need billing documentation you may access your PSU quote by logging into the PSU registration site and clicking the Participant Info tab and then the Intent to Bill statement on the right side of the page.
What is the cancellation policy for PSU?
If you need to cancel your registration please email psu@powerschool.com as soon as possible, but no later than 5:00pm Pacific Daylight Time two and a half weeks prior to check-in for your event. Any cancellation request received after this date will be subject to a 50% cancellation fee. If you cannot attend and do not cancel your request, you will be responsible for the full registration fee.
Travel

When should I arrive at and depart from PSU?
All four of the events run from Monday through Thursday, therefore we recommend arriving the Sunday evening before your classes begin to check-in. The last class ends at 4:00pm on Thursday so please plan on departing after that time.
Courses

When can I select my courses?
The PSU class schedule will be available in the spring of 2010. Those attendees who have registered for PSU will be notified once the schedule has been posted. You will have the ability to select and edit your course schedule up to and throughout your PSU 2010 experience.
How do I know what experience level I am and which courses I should choose?
Please review the description of the levels in the Course Catalog. For each class, the catalog also includes an overall description, experience level, and who is recommended to take the class. The Course Catalog will help you determine what will be most beneficial for you, considering how you use PowerSchool daily, your experience level, and previous training experience.
How many class hours can I sign up for?
You may select a total of 24 hours of instruction.
College Credits

Can I earn college credit for attending PSU?
Yes, active participation in PSU makes you eligible for college credit through the College of Southern Idaho. At the end of the week, you will receive a PSU certificate showing the hours you participated. Pearson is not responsible for awarding college credits. Open Sessions

Will I be able to interact with State Reporting at PSU?
State reporting sessions will be scheduled based on the demand per state as identified in the registration process.
Will I be able to interact with Engineering?
Yes, there will be a seminar session to discuss various topics with Engineering.
