PSU Charleston takes place at the Charleston Place hotel. All classes, meals, and suggested accommodations will be in the hotel. Charleston Place is a perfect blend of 18th century style and 21st century comfort and is famous for its traditional southern hospitality. The hotel is located in the heart of Charleston, South Carolina, one of America's oldest cities. The city offers horse-drawn carriage rides, mansions and museums, and nearby, historic monuments such as Fort Sumter, where the first shots of the Civil War were fired. |

Where do we check in for the conference?
Conference check in will be in the Grand Hall Corridor on the second floor of the Charleston Place hotel.
If you plan to use your own computer during PSU, please bring it with you when you check in for PSU.
When can I plan on leaving PSU Charleston?
The last class at PSU Charleston will end at 4:00pm on Thursday, June 24th.
Will there be a special evening event at PSU Charleston?
Yes, there will be a special evening event. Please check back at a later date for the location and details of the event.
Preferential Lodging
We reserved a block of rooms at a special discount rate at Charleston Place. Rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis and must be reserved by Friday, May 28th in order to receive the conference rate. Any reservation made after this date will be accepted based on availability and may not receive the conference rate.

Which airport should I fly into for PSU Charleston?
Charleston International Airport (CHS) is 10 miles from the hotel.
Recommended transit from CHS:
Shuttle Van Service is available from the airport to the hotel for approximately $35 a person. There are several companies that provide shuttle service, but do not take advance reservations. To obtain a shuttle, proceed to the 'Taxi Stand' area with your luggage and they will put your name on the list for the next available shuttle.
Taxis are available for approximately $27 one-way for one to two people. However, they are not readily available at the airport. If you would like to take a taxi, you can make advance reservations by calling any of the following companies:

If traveling by vehicle:
- Follow signs to I-26 East (towards Charleston).
- Proceed to the left lane as you approach the end of I-26 East, which will be within the Charleston city limits.
- Exit left at Meeting St./Visitor Center.
- Turn right onto Meeting St.
- The hotel will be on your right just past the intersection of Meeting and Hasell Streets.
Where can I park at PSU Charleston?
Parking is available at Charleston Place. For hotel guests, self-parking is $13 per day and valet is $25 per day. Both parking options include in/out privileges.
Fortunately, participation in PSU Charleston does not require the use of a car. The hotel is located in the heart of historic Charleston with restaurants and shops within walking distance.
For those participants who will drive to PSU Charleston each day, self-parking is $12 per day. Please note these rates are for once in, once out.
Will PowerSchool be providing breakfast, lunch and dinner?
Your tuition includes breakfast and lunch (Monday through Thursday). Breakfast and lunch will be served at Charleston Place in the Willow and Magnolia Ballrooms. The daily menus are available here:

What is the attire at PSU?
PowerSchool University is very casual so please wear what is comfortable to you. The average day-time high for this time of year in Charleston is 85 degrees, with the night-time low averaging 74 degrees. Air conditioning in the classrooms can be unpredictable, so we recommend dressing in layers or bringing a sweater.
What is the cancellation policy for PSU?
If you go through the registration process and then discover you cannot attend, make sure to cancel as early as possible. Cancellations received after 5:00pm Pacific Daylight Time on Friday, June 4, 2010, will be charged 50% of the tuition cost. If you need to cancel your registration, please email psu@powerschool.com.
