Which airport should I fly into for PSU Anaheim?

Orange County's John Wayne Airport (SNA) is the closest and most convenient airport to the venue. The Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is a larger airport but requires a longer trip to the Disneyland® Hotel.

Recommended transit from SNA:

Taxis are available for approximately $35 one-way.

An option for shuttle service is the Disneyland® Resort Express and is $17 one-way or $27 round trip per person; reservations are not required. To take the Disneyland® Resort Express, proceed outside to the Ground Transportation Center ticket booth. You may also make a reservation on the Disneyland® Resort Express web site ahead of time for a slight discount.

Alternatively, SuperShuttle has arranged a discount for conference attendees through the PSU Super Shuttle Discount Registration Link. The discount is 15% off both the one-way and round-trip fares.

If traveling by vehicle, exit the airport via Airport Way. Turn left onto MacArthur Boulevard. Take Interstate 405 North towards Long Beach. Take California Highway 55 North. Take Interstate 5 North (exit 10B) towards Los Angeles. Take Harbor Boulevard (exit 110) towards Ball Road. Turn right onto South Harbor Boulevard. Turn left onto West Ball Road. Turn left onto Disneyland Drive. Continue on Disneyland Drive, staying in the far two right lanes. Turn right (West) on Magic Way and follow the sign to the hotel entrance on the left.

For transit around the Anaheim and greater Los Angeles area, we recommend renting a vehicle. However, a vehicle is probably not necessary if you plan to stay in the resort area, where there are a number of places for dining and entertainment.

For additional information about transportation from various airports to PSU Anaheim, visit the Disneyland® Hotel web site.

Where can I park at PSU Anaheim?

Parking is available at the Disneyland® Hotel for hotel guests and self-parking fees are included in the resort fee assessed to your hotel room charges. Valet parking is also available for hotel guests at an additional $17 per day. Both parking options include in/out privileges.

Fortunately, participation in PSU Anaheim does not require the use of a car unless you have plans to visit outlying areas such as the beach or Los Angeles. If you plan to rent a car just for a day trip, you may consider one of several rental car agencies within a few blocks of the Disneyland® Resort area. There is plenty to do on the resort premises. The Downtown Disney® District has many dining, shopping, and entertainment options that do not require admission to either of the theme parks. Additional information about area transportation, food, and nightlife is available at the hotel.

For those participants who will drive to PSU Anaheim each day, the daily parking rate is $8 for self-parking and $17 for valet parking. Please note these rates are for once in, once out and require that you park in the Disneyland® Hotel parking lot. A map of the parking area is available here.

Will PowerSchool be providing breakfast, lunch and dinner?

Your tuition includes breakfast and lunch (Monday through Thursday). Breakfast and lunch will be served at the Disneyland® Hotel in the Magic Kingdom Ballroom West, which is located on the second floor. The daily menus are available here:

PSU 2010 Anaheim Breakfast and Lunch Menus

What is the attire at PSU?

PowerSchool University is very casual so please wear what is comfortable to you. The average day-time high for this time of year in Anaheim is 84 degrees, with the night-time low averaging 62 degrees. Air conditioning in the classrooms can be unpredictable, so we recommend dressing in layers or bringing a sweater.

What is the cancellation policy for PSU?

If you go through the registration process and then discover you cannot attend, make sure to cancel as early as possible. Cancellations received after 5:00pm Pacific Daylight Time on Friday, June 25, 2010, will be charged 50% of the tuition cost. If you need to cancel your registration, email psu@powerschool.com.
